I don’t have a MAC counter nearby. The nearest one is over an hour away, so I don’t have a whole lot of their products in my collection (well, with the exception of lipstick, because if it’s hot pink, red, or coral and they make it- I own it.) Since I tend to online shop for their products, I’m nervous to buy too many things without seeing them in person. However, I’ve had my eye on a few things, and when the new Miley Cyrus Viva Glam lipstick was released, it gave me an excuse to pull the trigger on a few other items I’d been coveting.
The lipstick was a no brainer! Hot pink and awesome. It stains the lips, so the wear time on it is pretty good. Since it’s so new, I’ve only worn it once, but the wear was pretty even. This will be the shade I wear non-stop in the spring.
I’ve wanted to pick up the Pro Longwear paint pot in Painterly for a long time. It really evens out my eyelids and is the perfect base for any look. I do get a bit of creasing with this, but I get creasing with everything since I have such deep set creases anyway.
I added two lip liners to my collection- Lasting Sensation which is a coral, and Cherry which is red. I didn’t own any lipliners before this, and I always thought they were a bit over rated, but now that I like to wear more pigmented and matte lipsticks, I wanted to feel less self conscious about uneven wear and fading. These are both great for the lipsticks I own, and I regret not buying one for my pink lipsticks. I used Lasting Sensation under my new Estee Lauder lipstick in Defiant Coral, and it kept the color in place longer. I’m very very glad I added these beauties to my lipstick collection.
I’ll be using the Miley Cyrus Viva Glam in an upcoming post so I can show how it looks on my skin tone. But seriously- it’s beautiful
So far, no buyers remorse, but I’ll update that if it changes.
